We operate a hyperlocal notification platform that delivers municipal service alerts to Boise, Idaho residents based on their home address. Our contact information is provided in Section 11.

2. What Information We Collect

When you sign up for our service, we collect the following personal information directly from you:

• Full name
• Exact street address (including street number, street name, city, state, and ZIP code)
• Email address
• Phone number (optional at signup, required for SMS alerts)

We may also automatically collect limited technical data when you use our website, including your IP address, browser type, and device type. This data is used solely for security and service improvement purposes and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Why We Collect Your Address

Your exact street address is the core data point our service depends on. We use it to:

• Determine your garbage pickup day and any holiday schedule changes
• Identify your street sweeping maintenance zone and send relevant alerts
• Match you with construction, road closure, or utility work affecting your specific block
• Deliver future hyperlocal notifications relevant to your property

We do not use your address for any purpose other than those described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your raw address data as a standalone dataset.

4. How We Share Your Information — Lead Generation

By signing up and checking the consent box on our signup form, you expressly agree that your contact information, including your street address, may be shared with relevant Local Service Providers in your area.

What "Local Service Providers" means: Third-party businesses and professionals offering services relevant to your home or neighborhood, including but not limited to: general contractors, landscapers, snow removal providers, cleaning services, pest control, HVAC companies, electricians, plumbers, roofers, moving companies, real estate professionals, and home improvement providers.

What they receive: Your name, email address, phone number, and street address. This information is shared so that Local Service Providers can identify and contact residents in their service area.

What they may do with it: Local Service Providers may contact you via phone call, text message, or email to offer their services. Their communications are governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.

Your right to opt out: You may opt out of being shared with Local Service Providers at any time by emailing us at boisestreetsmarts@gmail.com or replying STOP to any SMS from us. Opting out of lead sharing does not cancel your service alerts.

5. What We Do NOT Do With Your Data

• We do not sell your personal data to data brokers or aggregators unrelated to local home services
• We do not share your data with government agencies unless required by law
• We do not use your data for political advertising or solicitation
• We do not share your data with businesses outside of Idaho without your additional consent
• We do not retain your data after you request deletion (see Section 8)

6. SMS and Email Communications

By providing your phone number and checking the consent box, you agree to receive SMS text message alerts from Boise Street Smarts. Message frequency varies based on activity in your area. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from SMS. Reply HELP for help.

By providing your email address, you agree to receive email alerts and occasional service updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. Transactional service alerts (e.g., your garbage day has changed) may still be sent even after unsubscribing from marketing.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement the following safeguards:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Access controls limiting who within the Company can view user data
• Regular review of data handling practices

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by Idaho law (Idaho Code § 28-51-105).

8. Your Rights — Access, Correction, and Deletion

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your account
• Request deletion of your personal information from our systems
• Opt out of lead sharing with Local Service Providers at any time

Deletion requests will be honored within 30 days, after which your data will be permanently removed from our active systems. Note that we may retain minimal records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email. Your continued use of our service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
